Sophia Ford is from the Bad River Band of Chippewa in Wisconsin. She is an Ojibwe storyteller and will be sharing some of these stories with us. Storytelling is an artform all on it’s own and has been around for generations. Traditionally, winter is the time for storytelling for most tribes and starts with the first snowfall of the season. The stories told are all about life lessons and teachings from the elders to the next generation.
This is a free virtual discussion series open to our members, friends, and visitors. As we continue to work on developing more programs, please consider donating to the museum. https://gichigamiin-museum.org/donate/
