Please join the Sierra Club, the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian, and author and environmental educator Adam Kessel (Lakota/Italian/German) for a discussion on Indigenous plant use and ecology in the Great Lakes Region. During this session, Kessel will discuss his work as a Program Coordinator with the Forest Preserves of Cook County and share his insights on Native ethnobotany, including traditional plant and land use and preservation practices utilized today by Native communities.
